Last Chance to Submit Entries into Soybean Yield Contest
Wisconsin Ag Connection - 08/24/2012
The new deadline is about to expire for this year's Wisconsin Soybean Yield Contest.
The Wisconsin Soybean Association, which holds the competition in collaboration with the Wisconsin Soybean Marketing Board, is excepting entries through August 31.
Earlier this month, organizers announced they would extend the deadline through the end of August after some late-July precipitation helped soybean crops recover.
The contest was designed to encourage the development of new and innovative management practices and to show the importance of using sound cultural practices in Wisconsin soybean production.
Trophies and cash prizes of $1,000 and $500 will be awarded to the first and second place winners, respectively, in each geographic region.
