Arlington Station Agronomy/Soils Field Day is August 31

Interactive tours will highlight the latest in agronomy and soils research at the Agronomy/Soils Field Day this week at the University of Wisconsin-Madison's Arlington Ag Research Station. The event takes place August 31, starting at 8:30 a.m.

Phil Townsend will discuss new frontiers in remote sensing for agriculture during the lunch program. A special tour focusing on UW research on remote sensing in agriculture is slated for the afternoon.

Other tours will include recent research on soil fertility and management, grain production systems, forage production system and pest management.

Meanwhile, the SnapPlus team and Nutrient and Pest Management Program along with the UW Soil & Forage Analysis Lab will have display booths to visit between tours.

Lunch will available on the site for a $5 donation to the Badger Crops Club.
