UW-Madison CALS to Help Organize 'Celebrate Ag' Football Event

The University of Wisconsin-Madison Athletics and the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences are teaming up once again this year to hold a 'Celebrate Agriculture' game when the Badgers host the Western Illinois University Leathernecks at Camp Randall Stadium on September 6.
Game day festivities will celebrate Wisconsin agriculture and its deep UW connections. Agricultural messages will be displayed throughout the game at Camp Randall.
"There is so much to celebrate about Wisconsin agriculture--dairy, livestock, field crops, vegetables and fruit and a sincere commitment to protecting the environment," said CALS Dean Kate VandenBosch. "As our college celebrates its quasquicentennial, we're celebrating 125 years of partnership with farmers
and agricultural firms that create thousands of jobs in rural and urban areas and billions of dollars in economic activity."
Kickoff time has been set for 11 a.m. and the game will be televised nationally on the B1G Network. Tickets for the game are available for purchase online at uwbadgers.com or by calling the athletics ticket office at 608-262-1440.
