The National FFA has announced that 15 Wisconsin students will compete as Proficiency Award finalists at this year's national convention.

** Nicole Wright, Watertown FFA - Dairy Production Entrepreneurship
** Andrew Helmer, Plymouth FFA - Dairy Production Placement
** Aaron Retzlaff, Randolph Cambria-Friesland - Diversified Horticulture
** Mike Sankey, Amherst FFA - Forage Production
** Marc Hughes, Badger FFA - Fruit Production
** Eric Coddington, Montello FFA - Grain Production Placement
** Brittany Rambatt, Big Foot FFA - Home and/or Community Development
** Zachary Olson, Adams-Friendship FFA - Landscape Management
** Justin Runde, Janesville Craig FFA - Nursery Operations
** Carissa Haffenbredl, Marshfield FFA - Sheep Production
** Shylana Goplin, Whitehall FFA - Swine Production Placement
** Jared Holwerda, Randolph Cambria-Friesland FFA - Turf Grass Management
** Jessica Wendt, Stoughton FFA - Vegetable Production

Meanwhile, many chapters will be honored during the convention. Programs being recognized as 3 Star Rated Chapters include Adams-Friendship, Badger, Big Foot, Freedom, Granton, Lodi, Manawa, Stanley-Boyd, Stevens Point, Thorp, Waupaca, Waupun, and Weyauwega-Fremont.

Earning 2 Star ratings will be Black Hawk, Cochrane-Fountain City, De Pere, Holmen, Mishicot, Monroe, Prairie Farm, Randolph Cambria-Friesland, Sauk Prairie, Shullsburg, Spencer, Stratford, and Wisconsin Heights.

The National FFA Convention will be held October 29 through November 1 in Louisville, Kentucky.
