September 20 is Wisconsin Agricultural Tourism Day
Wisconsin Ag Connection - 09/18/2019

An official proclamation designating September 20th as Wisconsin Agricultural Tourism Day will be read during a farm tour in Deerfield on Friday. State Agriculture Secretary Brad Pfaff will be on hand at Schuster's Farm at 9:00 a.m. to help the industry celebrate the occasion.

The farm will invite the public in to navigate its eight acre corn maze, ride a wagon through a field of pumpkins and walk through a haunted forest.

Valued at more than $88.3 billion annually, Wisconsin is home to over 64,700 farms and employs about 12 percent of the state's workforce.

Tourism in Wisconsin generated $1.6 billion in state and local taxes, and agricultural tourism businesses are a large part of that total.
