Wenck Among Merck Bovine Vet Scholarship Recipients
Wisconsin Ag Connection - 09/18/2019

A veterinary medicine student with the University of Wisconsin-Madison is one of the winners of this year's Bovine Veterinary Student scholarship winners.

Austin Wenck of East Troy received $5,000 to be used toward his education during the American Association of Bovine Practitioners' annual conference in St. Louis last week.

"Merck Animal Health is proud to honor these students with this important scholarship," stated Justin Welsh, D.V.M., executive director of livestock technical services. "This group of exemplary students embodies Merck Animal Health's mission to advance the science of healthier animals, and I am confident they will go on to strengthen veterinary causes in support of this mission as they continue to grow their careers."

The scholarships were awarded to veterinary students in their second or third year of school. Recipients are selected based on academic achievement, career goals, work experience and interest in veterinary medicine.
