Roth, Steineke & Tittl to be Honored with Friend of Grocers Award

Three state lawmakers will be presented with 'Friend of Grocers Awards' by the Wisconsin Grocers Association today for their support of the food sales industry during the past legislative session.
Senate President Roger Roth of Appleton, and Reps. Jim Steineke from Kaukauna and Paul Tittl of Manitowoc will be recognized at local grocery stores in their respective districts on Monday.
Legislators are graded according to their actions on certain issues that are especially important to the grocery industry, such as unemployment insurance reforms, personal property tax relief and several labor issues.
In addition to receiving the Friend of Grocers Award, the lawmakers are also being endorsed by the WGA in their re-election efforts.
