State Corn Growers Announce Political Endorsements
Wisconsin Ag Connection - 10/12/2018

The Wisconsin Corn Growers Association has announced its endorsements in key races in the general election on November 6. WCGA President Doug Rebout says the candidates have all backed policies that support Wisconsin's top crop and the producers who grow it.

"We are proud to support a bipartisan list of candidates for this election," Rebout said. "We believe that together, these elected officials will work to prioritize and solve issues facing rural Wisconsin and our member-growers."

In the State Senate, WCGA endorses Sen. Howard Marklein, Spring Green; Janis Ringhand, Evansville; and Jerry Petrowski, Marathon.

Candidates for State Assembly being backed by WCGA include Reps. Joan Ballweg, Markesan; James Edming, Glen Flora; Scott Krug, Rome; Amy Loudenbeck, Clinton; Todd Novak, Dodgeville; Mark Spreitzer, Beloit; Rob Stafsholt, New Richmond; Jim Steineke, Kaukauna; Gary Tauchen, Bonduel; Travis Tranel, Cuba City; and Don Vruwink, Milton.

The Wisconsin Corn Growers Association is a nonprofit membership organization representing the interests of the state's 19,000 corn growers.
