Former Oscar Mayer Plant May Have Potential Buyer

The shuttered Oscar Mayer plant on Madison's east side may soon be sold to a prospective buyer.
A spokesperson for Kraft Heinz, Oscar Mayer's parent firm, announced last week that a party has expressed interest in the property.
Corporate Affairs Director Michael Mullen told NBC15-TV in Madison that the process remains ongoing, but nothing is final as of yet.
The 72-acre site has been a major employer in the area for over 100 years until the plant shut down this past June.
