Fond du Lac County Man Rescued After Being Trapped in Silo
Wisconsin Ag Connection - 10/11/2017
A 27-year-old man escaped injury after falling 24 feet into a silo while attempting to climb across a suspended unloader.
According to the Fond du Lac County Sheriff's Department, Joshua Sabel was on top of the unit Monday evening when one of the unloader's three cables snapped, causing him to fall into some corn silage.
Sabel was able to grab a cable and pull himself onto a ledge and call for help. He was rescued by an area fire department rescue team.
The incident happened on a farm in the town of Calumet.
