Reich Bros. Signs Purchase Offer for Oscar Mayer Plant
Wisconsin Ag Connection - 10/12/2017
More details are beginning to emerge about a possible buyer for the shuttered Oscar Mayer property on the east side of Madison.
Reich Brothers Holdings, which is a firm that specializes in purchasing vacant facilities, has signed a purchase offer for the former meat processing plant.
Reich CEO Adam Reich says the transaction is expected to close at the end of this month and that they hope to use the site to find a job-creating opportunity for the area.
The 72 acre site was home to Oscar Mayer since 1919 and headquarters for the company until 2016.
