CAFO Planning Workshops Planned for Winter

The University of Wisconsin-Extension is putting together a series of workshops for managers of permitted Concentrated Animal Feeding Operation facilities in Wisconsin.
The forums are slated to be held in mid-winter in 2017. Nutrient management plan writers and engineers working on large farms are also invited to attend.
Organizers say the first meeting will be held January 31 in Green Bay at 8 am and in New London at noon. The same starting times apply for the February 1 workshops in Manitowoc and Fond du Lac, respectively.
On February 6, CAFO workshops will be held in Jefferson, and then on February 7 in Dodgeville.
Noon will be the starting time for the final two workshops on February 9 in Rice Lake and February 10 in Marshfield.
