Men Die in Separate Wisconsin Farm Accidents
Wisconsin Ag Connection - 11/24/2014

It was a deadly week on Wisconsin farms last week as two men died in separate mishaps.

The first incident happened last Monday near Abrams in Oconto County when Rob Jahnke, 53, was killed after hitting his head on a plow blade attached to the skidsteer he was driving.

Authorities say Jahnke apparently tripped as he was climbing out of the machine. He then fell beneath the implement and become pinned there.

On Friday, a 22-year-old Amish man died southwest of Platteville when he became caught in a horse-drawn manure spreader.

In that accident, Amos King of Cuba City was dragged and then run over by the machine's steel wheels.

The Lafayette County Sheriff's Department says the incident is still being investigated.
