Organic Farming Conference Being Planned in La Crosse
Wisconsin Ag Connection - 12/12/2018

The nation's largest organic farming conference is returning to La Crosse early next year. Organized by the Midwest Organic and Sustainable Education Service, or MOSES, the 30th annual forum will be held February 21-23 at the La Crosse Center.

"Consumers want more organic food, which means there's a growing need for more organic farmers. But, there's a learning curve to making an organic system work on a farm," said MOSES Director John Mesko. "This conference is an ideal venue for non-organic farmers to learn best practices for organic and sustainable production. It's also where experienced organic and sustainable farmers learn the latest field-proven techniques to implement at home."

Attendees will have a chance to participate in educational workshops and a trade show. In addition to attending the conference, farmers can take an all-day Organic University course to learn in-depth about a topic.

There will also be plenty of food samples, entertainment and educational resources for people to take home with them.

For more information or to register, call the MOSES office at 715-778-5775.
