UW-River Falls to Host Livestock Marketing Seminar

Experts from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls and the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture will present a seminar focusing on effective ways to market livestock next month. The program takes place January 19-20 at the UWRF Mann Valley Farm in River Falls.

Beef and pork producers can take part in a variety of sessions, such as cutting demonstrations, value-added products, direct marketing, financial loan availability and labeling requirements.

Attendees will also tour Sailer's Food Market and Meat Processing, Inc. in Elmwood to obtain an inside look at the five-generation meat processing operation.

The cost to attend the seminar is $75, includes supper on Friday, as well as a continental breakfast and lunch on Saturday.
