Other Wisconsin Commodity Values Mixed

The January 2015 average price received by farmers for corn in Wisconsin was $3.71 per bushel, according to the latest USDA Agricultural Prices report. That's up four-cents from the December price, but 69-cents less than January 2014. The January soybean price, at $10.20 per bushel, was up 20-cents from December, but down $2.60 from the previous January.

The January oat price was $3.30 per bushel, up seven-cents from the December price, but 70-cents below January 2014.

All hay prices in Wisconsin averaged $130.00 per ton in January, down $20.00 from December and $58.00 less than January 2014. The alfalfa hay price averaged $136.00 per ton in January, down $29.00 from December and $64.00 lower from the previous January. The other hay price averaged $100.00, up $5.00 from December, but a decrease of $32.00 from last year.
