Two State Ag Teachers Earns Kohl Fellowship Awards
Wisconsin Ag Connection - 03/22/2018

A pair of Wisconsin agriculture instructors are being honored with Herb Kohl Fellowships for their efforts to improve their communities while helping students grow personally and academically.

Kim Houser of Wisconsin Heights and Susan Olsen-Rosenbush from Spooner are among the 100 teachers in the state chosen for the award this year.

"Education is the key to the future of Wisconsin and our nation," said Kohl. "I am very proud of the accomplishments of these students, teachers, and principals and look forward to the great contributions they will make in the future."

Each of the teachers and their schools will receive $3,000 as a part of the recognition. Over 40 agricultural education teachers in the state have earned the honor since its inception.

The fellowship program is co-sponsored by the Wisconsin Newspaper Association, Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction, Wisconsin Council of Religious and Independent Schools, Cooperative Educational Service Agencies, Association of Wisconsin School Administrators, and Herb Kohl Foundation.
