Evers Tours Western Wisconsin Flood Damaged Areas
Wisconsin Ag Connection - 03/26/2019

Gov. Tony Evers spent part of his day on Monday touring areas of the state most affected by recent flooding. During stops in Trempealeau County, the governor met with local home and business owners who suffered damages from the rising water levels.

He also met with residents in the town of Dodge and city of Arcadia, who lobbied him to spend money to build levees along the Trempealeau River to prevent future problems.

Reports say about a dozen homes were evacuated in Dodge last week because of flooding.

Evers declared a state of emergency for much of the state after heavy rain and melting snow caused damage to roads and fields throughout March.
