Oshkosh Area Farmers Donate $15,000 to Local Nonprofits
Wisconsin Ag Connection - 03/30/2015

Six local farmers have each directed a $2,500 donation to a nonprofit organization in their community, through America's Farmers Grow Communities, sponsored by the Monsanto Fund. The donations will help these organizations complete numerous projects and purchase much-needed materials.

The winning farmers and their chosen organizations were part of a special check presentation at the WPS Farm Show in Oshkosh last week.

They include: Maria Kussow, Brown County, donation to St. John's Lutheran School; Dean Gebhart, Calumet County, donation to the Calumet County Agricultural Association; Jamie Kasuboski, Fond Du Lac County, donation to the Ripon FFA; Steven Davison, Green Lake County, donation to the Markesan Public Schools; Mary Behnke, Waupaca County, donation to the Clintonville Area Ambulance Service; and Jeff Luebke, Winnebago County, donation to the Winnebago County 4-H.

Since 2010, America's Farmers Grow Communities has collaborated with farmers to donate over $16.5 million to over 7,300 community organizations across rural America.
