PQA Plus Advisor Trainings Being Held
Wisconsin Ag Connection - 05/04/2016

Individuals who are interested in being a Pork Quality Assurance Plus trainer, or in being re-certified, can participate in one of the upcoming training sessions this spring.

The sessions will be held May 24 in Richland Center, May 25 in Jefferson, May 31 in Altoona, and June 2 in Platteville. Each of the trainings will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

To be a PQA Plus advisor a person needs to be a veterinarian, Extension Agent, or Agriculture educator with a DVM, B.S. in Animal Science, or equivalent degree plus two years of relevant swine experience. Advisors, after completion of the training, will be eligible to certify pork producers in PQA Plus.

There will be no charge for this training, and lunch will be provided with support from the National Pork Board and Wisconsin Pork Association.

To register for this training, call 920-832-5124.
