State Wheat Growers Expect to Boost Total Acreage in '18
Wisconsin Ag Connection - 05/11/2018
Winter wheat production in Wisconsin is forecast at 15.3 million bushels, about 33 percent above last year's total output.
According to the latest USDA Crop Production report, yields are forecast at 73 bushels per acre--an increase of five bushels per acre from last year.
Growers also intend to boost their total wheat acreage this year by 24 percent at 210,000 acres.
