Authorities are investigating an incident near Loyal this week where a three-year-old child was run over and killed by a skid steer driven by his five-year-old brother.
According to the Clark County Sheriff's Department, the accident happened Monday morning on a farm in the town of Beaver.
Reports say the five-year-old child was operating the machine while his younger brother and their mother were picking rocks in a field. When the younger boy went to pick up a rock between the skid steer's front tire and the bucket, the other boy drove the
vehicle forward and accidentally ran him over.
The victim received fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The names of the children are not being released because of their ages.
