State Issues Recall for Leroy Meats Products
Wisconsin Ag Connection - 05/17/2017
State health officials are recalling various products made by a Horicon meat processor because they were not properly inspected prior to sale.
According to the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture's Division of Food Safety, the affected products were sold under the brand names 'Leroy Meats of Horicon' and 'Mississippi Meats' based in Prairie du Chien.
The recall was initiated after a routine inspection conducted by state inspectors at Leroy Meats found that the products failed to pass inspection protocol.
The company says all the products were sold at retail stores as well as wholesaled by distributors throughout the state prior to May 12.
