GROWMARK Names 2017 Summer Interns
Wisconsin Ag Connection - 05/17/2017

Over 40 college students have been selected to work in various internship capacities for GROWMARK this summer. The participants will be working at FS cooperatives in Wisconsin, Illinois, Iowa, Missouri and Ontario.

From the University of Wisconsin-Platteville, this year's interns include Logan Crooks, Monticello; Michael Ely, Dixon, Illinois; Austin Gerlich, Galena, Illinois; Dakota James, Mineral Point; Patrick Killelea, Ottawa, Illinois; Caris Quakkelaar, Waukesha; and Regan Weidner, Buda, Illinois.

Serving as intern from the UW-River Falls are Paige Lindner, Greenwood; and Kayla Smith, Bancroft.

The interns will be exposed to accounting, marketing, communications, and product and service-related activities. The group attended an orientation program at the GROWMARK corporate office in May, and will reconvene in June for an agribusiness tour. Each intern will complete a special project and deliver a presentation on that project in August.

The GROWMARK intern program began in 1959 with three interns. Since then, over 1,000 students have been involved in the program.
