Mark Tauscher, Liz Murray Among PDPW Conference Speakers
Wisconsin Ag Connection - 01/16/2018

The Professional Dairy Producers of Wisconsin has announced the headliners and educational speakers for its 2018 Business Conference in Madison this spring. The theme of the March 14-15 forum will be 'Dairying to Thrive,' and will focus on personal experiences and professional expertise of those in the industry.

Former NFL offensive tackle Mark Tauscher of the Green Bay Packers will emcee the event. He will also host a session called 'If it were easy, anyone could do it,' where he will look back on his days growing up on a central Wisconsin dairy farm and talk about the obstacles he was able to overcome in sports.

Attendees will also hear from John O'Leary, who's entire body was severely burned when he was a child. And Liz Murray, author of 'Breaking Night, presents: Your destiny: define it.' will also talked about living through a childhood with drug-addicted parents and finding herself homeless at the age of 15.

A number of industry experts will also be back again this year, including Dr. Allan Gray, director of the Center for Food and Agricultural Business at Purdue University; Dr. Michael Boehlje, professor emeritus of Ag Economics at Purdue University; and Dan Basse, agricultural economist and president of AgResource Company.

Evening entertainment will be provided by the The Soggy Prairie Boys.
