Accelerated Genetics Announces Summer Interns

The Baraboo-based Accelerated Genetics has announced the selections of this year's various summer intern students.

Amber Elliott of Marshall has been selected as the company's Public Relations and Advertising Intern. She will be based out of the Accelerated Genetics Administrative Headquarters in Baraboo, where she will be responsible for interviewing, researching and writing feature articles for the Genetic Trends newsletter, writing news releases, designing promotional brochures, helping with the development of advertising campaigns, and representing Accelerated Genetics at various conferences, conventions, dairy shows and events throughout the summer. Amber is a student at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls majoring in Marketing Communications with an emphasis in Agriculture.

This year's Marketing Service Intern is Craig Pagenkopf of Lancaster. He will be responsible for selecting and picturing sire daughters, and will also assist the Marketing Services Director in organizing tours for domestic and international groups. This fall Pagenkopf will be a senior at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville where he is majoring in Animal Science with a dairy emphasis.

Lindsey Lepke will work as as a summer Sales and Service Intern in Region 14 for Southern Wisconsin. She will be providing relief A.I. breeding services along with reproductive consulting, and assist with area sales efforts. Lepke is a senior at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville, where she is majoring in Animal Science with a Dairy emphasis and Agribusiness.

Mike Reps of Lewiston, Minnesota will be joining Accelerated Genetics as a Sales and Service Intern for Region 12 in Southeast Minnesota, Northwest Wisconsin and Northeast Iowa for the summer. He will also be providing relief A.I. services along with reproductive consulting, and assist with area sales efforts. Reps is a student at the UW-RF pursing a bachelor's degree in Dairy Science.

Accelerated Genetics is a global provider of bovine genetics and research, reproductive services, and solution-based animal health products.
