'AgTech Venture Day' Provides Opportunity to Pitch to Investors
Wisconsin Ag Connection - 06/15/2018

Would you ever consider proposing an idea on the Shark Tank TV show? If so, you could have an opportunity to do something similar in southern Wisconsin this fall. The Golden Angels Investors is looking for emerging companies in the growing agricultural technology sector to pitch their ideas to potential investors at the 2018 AgTech Venture Day.

The event is slated for October 2 at the Comfort Suites Hotel & Conference Center in Johnson Creek. Organizers say the day-long forum will bring together companies in fields such as precision farming, food packaging, food safety, organics, resource conservation and other disruptive technologies. Selected applicants will get to bring their concepts to angel investors and venture capitalists. Two-dozen companies will be chosen to present their ideas.

Meanwhile, there will also be a morning panel discussion on AgTech Investing in 2018 led by Chris Prestigiacomo, private markets portfolio manager for SWIB and feature seasoned investors in the sector. An afternoon discussion on success stories for ag-tech entrepreneurs will also be featured.
