Springbrook 4-H Wins Ice Cream Flavor Contest
Wisconsin Ag Connection - 01/18/2019

'Wisconsin Campfire S'more,' developed by the Springbrook 4-H Club in St. Croix County, was chosen as the winner of the 2018 Cedar Crest Ice Cream 4-H Flavor Contest. Selected as the winner from the field of dozens of contestants, the favor will be available statewide in time to celebrate June Dairy Month next summer.

The winning entry features vanilla ice cream with a toasted marshmallow swirl, Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, chocolate chunks and graham cracker crumbles. Contest coordinators say it will be available in three gallon tubs and on sale throughout the summer at ice cream parlors that serve Cedar Crest Ice Cream. It is also available for sale at 4-H food stands.

"We are excited to continue this partnership with Cedar Crest, which allows 4-H clubs across the state to work together and put into practice the goals and mission of 4-H," says Wisconsin 4-H Foundation Director Brenda Scheider.

As the winning club, the Springbrook 4-H will receive a Cedar Crest Ice Cream Party and earned a $300 cash prize. The club is led by Jackie Kumm.

Entries were evaluated by a panel of judges chosen by Cedar Crest's staff.
