Upcoming June Dairy Month Events Posted Online
Wisconsin Ag Connection - 06/20/2012
The Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board is reminding the public about its new 'Dairy Days of Summer' campaign, which is an interactive website that features a calendar of events, activities, promotions and recipes.
"There are so many special ways to celebrate Wisconsin's dairy industry during June," said Dave Bavlnka, vice president of Advertising at WMMB. "We want to make it easy for everyone to find events to enjoy. From visiting a local cheese tasting to heading out to the farm for breakfast--we have activities that
appeal to any age."
For example, Wisconsinites can look forward to special Dairy Days such as Cheese Curd Day and Beer and Cheese Day, as well as a listing of dairy-themed festivals such as Sparta Butter Fest and Madison's Cows on the Concourse. Retailers and restaurants are also participating in the campaign. Many of them
are offering opportunities for sampling, along with special menus and deals, at locations throughout the state.
A complete listing of events can be found at www.DairyDaysOfSummer.com/events, where visitors can also search by date, location and event type.
The site also features the popular dairy farm breakfast locator map, which is searchable by date or location. More than 35 farms across Wisconsin will welcome the public to their breakfast tables during the month of June.
