Wisconsin Ag Connection - 07/08/2019
More than a dozen head of cattle perished in a southeastern Wisconsin barn fire before the fourth of July holiday last week.
According to the Waterloo Fire Department, 13 animals died when the blaze broke out early Wednesday morning at the J&R Bar Ranch north of Waterloo.
Crews from four counties were brought in to battle the fire. The incident caused authorities to close down Highway 89 for several hours.
No cause of the fire has been released.
Meanwhile, other barn fires were reported in Belmont and Greenwood last week. No livestock were lost in either of those fires and no people were hurt.
