Total Yearly Giving to State FFA Foundation Exceeds $614,000

The sun has set on the Wisconsin FFA Foundation's fiscal year and the amount of contributions to the group has reached another all-time record. The Madison-based group says donors have raised a total of $614,200 over the past 12 months--far exceeding the $545,000 campaign goal the Foundation's board of directors set last summer.

"The Wisconsin FFA Foundation knows this landmark celebration is the result of teamwork between industry, individuals and agricultural organizations across the state," said Foundation Director Sara Schoenborn. "This year has been one with challenges and losses, but to see the rally of support around FFA and agricultural education confirms my belief that together, the agriculture family is strong and will always care for each other."

In addition to the record amount of financial support, the Wisconsin FFA as an organization has recorded 20,463 members on its roster this past school year, a 37-year high. Membership is also up on the national level.

Meanwhile, the group has elected new officers for the coming year. They include Amber Vickers Keller, Town Bank, president; Travis Holt, Citizens State Bank of Loyal, past-president; Jon Anderson, Grade A Strategic Brand and Marketing Solutions, vice president; Robin Connelly, Organic Valley/CROPP Cooperative, secretary; and Nick Hemling, ANIMART, treasurer. Co-chairs of the Development Committee include Kathleen A. Murphy, John Deere Financial; and Luke Wiedenfeld, Kraft Heinz Company.

Other board members are Ginger James, AgroChem; Darren Kittleson, Keller Williams Realty; Jason Kollwelter, We Energies; Lori Lulich, Purple Cow Organics, LLC; Janice Schyvinck, Equity Cooperative Livestock Sales Association; Scott Vosters, The Bank of New Glarus; Nicole Wagner, Wisconsin Corn Growers Association; Danielle Waterworth, CNH Industrial Capital; Regina Oldendorf, Wisconsin FFA Alumni Association; Leslie Svacina, Wisconsin Association of Agricultural Educators; Brenna Bays, Wisconsin FFA; Jeff Hicken, Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction; and Cheryl Zimmerman, Wisconsin FFA Center.
