Hagedorn to Serve as UW-Extension Dairy Outreach Manager
Wisconsin Ag Connection - 07/22/2019
Eau Claire County's dairy & livestock agent will be leaving his post to become the University of Wisconsin-Extension's new Dairy Outreach and Program manager. Mark Hagedorn will begin his duties in the newly-created position on August 1, where he will be
based out of Barron County.
His responsibilities will include working with new and existing county Extension agents across the state to help them improve efficiencies and better communicate with each other in the various statewide dairy workgroups, such as reproduction, employee safety
and animal wellbeing.
Hagedorn will continue to hold a part-time capacity with the local Farm Technology Days committee in Eau Claire County, which is hosting the annual farm show in July 2020. He also served as executive secretary for the 2008 FTD show while working as the
Extension agent in Brown County at that time.
Mark received his M.S. degree in animal science from Iowa State University and his B.S. degree in dairy science from Northwest Missouri State University.
Other area county agents will assist Eau Claire County in fulfilling Hagedorn's responsibilities until a replacement is named.
