National Holstein Honors Jr. Breeders from Wisconsin

Holstein Association USA has recognized many of its junior members who's animals have achieved success in the industry over the past year. During the group's recent national convention in Acme, Michigan, awards were given for type and production.

National Star Performer Award recipients from Wisconsin include Dylan & Cameron Ryan; Jordan & Connor Siemers; Brooke, Dane & Luke Trustem; Austin Vandertie; Austin Yager; and James Buttles. The award recognizes owners of well-rounded Holstein with exceptional milk and component production, as well as admirable classification scores.

Paul Grulke earned the top National Cream of the Crop Award, which highlights cattle that have produced the highest combined pounds of fat and protein during a 305-day lactation. Others honored with the award were Brooke, Dane & Luke Trustem; Nicole Pralle; Savanna Ridge; and Jordan Siemers.

And members who own cows produced over 150,000 pounds of milk in theri lifetime are Madison Calvert; McKenzie Calvert; Payton Calvert; Geneva Nunes; Taylor Paye; Connor Siemers; and Jordan Siemers. In addition, James Buttles and Connor & Jordan Siemers also had animals that milked 200,000 pound in a lifetime.
