Pigs, Cows Lost in Marathon County Barn Fire

An afternoon barn fire near Edgar has claimed the lives of at least two pigs and four cows on Monday.
According to the Marathon County Sheriff's Department, the blaze was reported just after noon on a farm in the town of Cassel.
Marathon Fire Chief Mike Tylinski said several other animals were able to get out of the structure safely.
The barn is said to be a total loss and a garage next to the barn was also damaged.
The cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
