Schultz Selected as WCGA Communications Specialist
Wisconsin Ag Connection - 01/20/2017

The Wisconsin Corn Growers Association has hired a new communications specialist. Lizzy Schultz of Madison will coordinate public relations and manage the organization's website content and social media efforts. She will also represent the state's corn program at state and national commodity events.

"We are excited for Lizzy to join our team," said WCGA President Casey Kelleher. "Her background is a great fit for our organization. She started on December 1 and hit the ground running."

After receiving her bachelor's degree in animal science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Schultz began working as a freelance media producer with several industry publications. Her articles have been published in Agri-View and National Hog Farmer, and has spent the past year working as a regular contributing reporter and editor for the online publication AgWired.

A native of Verona, Schultz brings strong writing skills and a great deal of experience producing and editing multimedia content, including photography, video production, social media marketing, and podcast production.

She replaces Tom Thieding, who recently took a similar position with the Wisconsin Department of Revenue.
