Vita Plus Donates Milk to Loyal High School Athletes
Wisconsin Ag Connection - 01/22/2019

Employee owners at Vita Plus Loyal have donated milk for the Loyal High School boys and girls basketball teams and wrestling team.

Darin Bremmer, who is a dairy nutritionist for the company, says his staff works with dairy farmers every day and know the efforts they put into producing a wholesome and nutritious product before going to their kids' sporting events during the evening hours.

"They are reminded of the nutrition young athletes need to keep their bodies strong and healthy," said Bremmer said. "Donating milk for our local athletes was a no-brainer."

According to the National Dairy Council, milk provides nine essential nutrients. It is an excellent source of protein to build and repair muscle, and calcium and vitamin D for strong bones. Furthermore, milk provides B vitamins that convert food into fuel for the body, and other vitamins and minerals needed for healthy and active lifestyles.

Vita Plus Loyal coordinated with the area school district to make milk available for all the high school boys and girls basketball teams during each home game of the 2018-19 season. They also provided milk for the home wrestling match and plan to continue the program for all the spring and fall sports teams as well.
