Wisconsin Auctioneers Contest to Benefit FFA Foundation
Wisconsin Ag Connection - 07/29/2014

The Wisconsin State Championship Auctioneer Contest, held annually at the state fair, is teaming up with the Wisconsin FFA Foundation this year. The competition will be held August 5 on the main stage in the coliseum, where contestants will auction off actual items in their quest to be the state's top bid caller.

The FFA Foundation will receive 100 percent of the funds raised from auction items that have been secured from in-kind supporters. Some of the items include a pedal tractor, pedal weinermobile, signed Green Bay Packer footballs, over $500 in Organic Valley products, a basket of equine items and western wear, Wisconsin Badger football tickets, Green Bay Packer preseason tickets, Milwaukee Brewers tickets and 10 hours of marketing services.

"We are really looking forward to this event," said FFA Foundation Board President Lori Lulich. "Wisconsin State Fair is such an exciting event and a perfect fit for our organization to be involved based on the FFA tradition. Not to mention how FFA supporters love a good auction."

Attendees of the Wisconsin State Fair can take part in the auctioneer contest for free.
