Wisconsin's newest member of the state legislature will serve on the Assembly Committee on Agriculture.
On Monday, Assembly Speaker Robin Vos announced the committee assignments for Rep. Jon Plumer of Lodi. He was elected to the 42nd Assembly District in June to fill the spot vacated by longtime Rep. Keith Ripp, who resigned to serve as Assistant
Deputy Secretary of the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture.
In addition to the ag panel, Plumer will serve on the the committees for Rural Development, Transportation and Tourism.
"These committee assignments reflect Rep. Plumer's areas of expertise," said Speaker Vos. "Plumer has already proven to be a strong voice for his district on these issues during our agenda-setting discussions for the next legislative session."
Plumer is an area business owner and karate instructor. He defeated Democrat Ann Groves Lloyd for the seat in a special election earlier this summer.
