Wisconsin FFA Members Named National Proficiency Finalists

The National FFA Organization has announced that 13 Wisconsin students will compete as Proficiency Award finalists at this year's national convention. The winning students include:

** Kyle Propson, Denmark - Ag Services

** Lauren Dykes, Weyauwega-Fremont - Beef Production

** Colin Wussow, Bonduel - Dairy Production

** Niamh Sexton, Waupaca - Equine Science

** Dara Stichert, Marshfield - Equine Science

** Tyler Gardner, Pittsville - Forest Management & Products

** Kendra Preissner, Kiel - Food Science & Technology

** Everlah Riley, Waupaca - Goat Production

** Katelyn Loehrke, Weyauwega-Fremont - Home and/or Community Development

** Carson Lobdell, Darlington - Swine Production

** Makayla Konkol, Amherst - Specialty Crop Production

** Levi Alsum, Randolph Cambria-Friesland - Vegetable Production

** Kayla Reed, Pulaski - Wildlife Production and Management

Another 11 Wisconsin students had their award applications rated gold, with 12 placing at the silver level and two rated as bronze.

Meanwhile, many chapters will be honored during the convention. Programs being recognized as Three-Star Rated Chapters include Columbus, Denmark, Freedom, Granton, Badger, Manawa, Stanley-Boyd, Verona, Walworth, Waupaca, Waupun, and Weyauwega-Fremont. Weyauwega-Fremont was also named a finalist for the Premier Chapter for Building Communities area.

The National FFA Convention will be held fall in Indianapolis, Indiana.
