Wisconsin Egg Output Jumps Another 25 Percent

Egg production in the Badger State totaled 131 million eggs during July. That's up 24 percent from last year at this time, but down two percent from last month.
According to the latest USDA Chickens and Eggs report, the average number of all layers on hand in Wisconsin was 5.45 million, up 28 percent from year-ago levels, but down five percent from June.
Eggs per 100 layers for July were 2,406--down three percent from 2015, but up four percent for the month.
