Wisconsin 4-H Foundation Awards Over $27,000 in Scholarships

The Wisconsin 4-H Foundation has awarded over $27,000 in scholarships to graduating 4-H youth this spring. A record number of 4-H members in their last year of high school or first year of college applied for scholarships this year in areas like community service and environmental education.

Scholarships were awarded through company and individual endowed funds by supporters who share a passion for 4-H and the leadership and life skills it teaches.

Earning the Hendrickson Memorial Scholarship were Christopher Fry, Mauston; and Summer Maricle, Holmen.

Oscar G. & Mary W. Woelfel Memorial Scholarship winners are Luis Avila Vette, Watertown; Emma Geib, Greenleaf; Alisha Klemme, Plymouth; Chloe LaCrosse, Forestville; and Kaylee Mess, Rosendale.

Winners of the Frances & Phyllis Conrad Memorial Scholarship include Jenna Crolla, Mount Horeb; and Robert Wendler, Withee.

T.L. Bewick Scholarship recipients are Alexis Slater, Grantsburg; Jessica Vinger, Dodgeville; and Jamie Williams, Lodi.

Teresa Miller-Wathke, Fall Creek; and Brandon Swenson of Wisconsin Rapids, both received the Culver's 4-H Scholarship.

This year's receipient of the Cynthia Hoehne Scholarship Award was Anabelle Iverson of Eau Claire.

The Elizabeth Salter-Eby Memorial Scholarship went to Morgan Baier, Acadia.

And the Betty Krueger Memorial Scholarship winner was Adaire MacSwain from Hudson.

Wisconsin 4-H Foundation scholarships are awarded to students based on demonstrated personal growth, development and leadership, academic performance, financial need and future educational goals with specific criteria for designated awards.
