Wisconsin Ag Connection - 04/01/2008
Minnesota Farmers Union President Doug Peterson will be a panelist on the "What to expect in the next farm bill" panel at the Minnesota/Wisconsin Dairy Policy Conference on Wednesday at the Radisson
Hotel in LaCrosse.
"This conference is a great opportunity for dairy farmers from both Minnesota and Wisconsin to learn about policies that may impact their production, as well as finding out about production practices that
have, or have not been working in our neighboring state. I feel fortunate to be a part of it," said Doug Peterson, Minnesota Farmers Union President.
The panels during the Minnesota/Wisconsin Dairy Policy Conference include: what to expect in the new farm bill; finding a better way to price milk; addressing milk price volatility; and challenges and
opportunities of dairy globalization. There is also a Dairy Directors' Leadership Conference on Thursday, April 3. More information about the conference can be found at www.wfcmac.coop.
