Wisconsin Farm Bureau Opens Campaign School Registration

Wisconsin Farm Bureau Opens Campaign School Registration

By Blake Jackson

Registration is open for Wisconsin Farm Bureau’s Campaign School, a series of local government training sessions designed for people interested in running for county, town board, and other local offices.

The program will help participants understand the responsibilities of public service and the steps involved in developing and managing an effective local election campaign.

Sessions will cover how to determine whether running for office is the right choice, understand the role of local elected officials, develop a campaign strategy, and prepare for Election Day.

“The decisions shaping our communities are made by people who choose to get involved,” said WFBF Director of Local Government Nate Zimdars. “Our state’s farmers know their communities, understand the issues and their perspective matters, making them the ideal candidates to serve in local offices."

Campaign School will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at three Wisconsin locations. The first session is scheduled for November 10, 2026, at UW-River Falls in the Chippewa River Room of the University Center, 501 Wild Rose Avenue, River Falls.

The second will take place November 12, 2026, at Legacy Family Restaurant, 5110b Main Street, Stevens Point. The final session is November 17, 2026, at the Wisconsin Farm Bureau office, 1241 John Q. Hammons Drive, Madison.

Registration costs $15 for Wisconsin Farm Bureau members and $85 for non-members. Registration closes November 6, 2026, and advance registration is required.
