All Price Fall on NASS Cheese Survey

Prices were lower on the National Ag Statistics Service Weekly Cheddar Cheese Survey on Friday. The price of 40 pound blocks for Minnesota-Wisconsin averaged $1.79, down 15 cents from last week's price, while 500 pound barrels were down 13 cents at $1.92. The price of U.S. 40-pound blocks were 12 cents lower at $1.79 for the week ending February 2. The barrels were down nine cents at $1.85.

Butter prices were unchanged as the price for 25 kilogram and 68 pound boxes meeting USDA Grade AA standards averaged $1.20 per pound for the week.

Nonfat Dry Milk prices were five cents lower at $1.40 per pound for USDA Extra Grade standards.

And for 'other states,' blocks were down 11 cents at $1.79, and the barrels were at $1.97, which was eight cents lower than the previous week.
