NASS Weekly Cheddar Cheese Survey Prices Mixed

Prices were mixed on the National Ag Statistics Service Weekly Cheddar Cheese Survey this week. The price of 40 pound blocks for Minnesota-Wisconsin averaged $1.91, up a penny from last week's
price, while 500 pound barrels were down three cents at $1.85. The price of U.S. 40-pound blocks were four cents lower at $1.79 for the week ending April 5. The barrels were two cents lower at $1.79.
Butter prices were up a penny as the price for 25 kilogram and 68 pound boxes meeting USDA Grade AA standards averaged $1.34 per pound for the week.
Nonfat Dry Milk prices were a penny higher for the week at $1.25 per pound for USDA Extra Grade standards.
And for 'other states,' blocks were down five cents at $1.78, and the barrels were at $1.89, which was three cents lower than the previous week.
