Price Remain Mixed on NASS Cheese Survey

Prices were mixed again this week on the National Ag Statistics Service Weekly Cheddar Cheese Survey. The price of 40 pound blocks for Minnesota-Wisconsin averaged $1.89, down two cents from last
week's price, while 500 pound barrels were steady at $1.86. The price of U.S. 40-pound blocks were up fractinally at $1.80 for the week ending April 12. The barrels were a penny lower at $1.78.
Butter prices were up a penny as the price for 25 kilogram and 68 pound boxes meeting USDA Grade AA standards averaged $1.35 per pound for the week.
Nonfat Dry Milk prices were a penny lower for the week at $1.24 per pound for USDA Extra Grade standards.
And for 'other states,' blocks were up fractionally at $1.78, and the barrels were at $1.87, which was two cents lower than the previous week.
