Cheryl Zimmerman Named National FFA Executive Secretary
Wisconsin Ag Connection - 11/18/2019
The longtime director of the Wisconsin FFA will have additional duties to fulfill in her already busy schedule. Cheryl Zimmerman has been named executive secretary for National FFA Organization, where she will be responsible for issuing charters to state FFA
associations, keeping official board meeting minutes and membership records, and overseeing state association reporting to the board.
"This is an exciting transition for the National FFA Organization as we align with the new federal charter and the constitutional amendments passed by our delegates," Zimmerman said. "I am the product of agricultural education and FFA, and I am honored and
humbled to be given this leadership role."
Zimmerman will continue to operate the Wisconsin FFA Center from her home in Spencer, where she has served as executive director since 1992. She has also served on the National FFA Board of Directors as a consultant and member for the past three
years.
A graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Cheryl is a past president of the National Association of Supervisors of Agricultural Education and was a former NASAE central region vice president. In 2012, she was recognized as the NASAE outstanding executive secretary.
