CentralStar Cooperative is inviting students to apply for its 2027 paid summer internship program, providing practical experience across several areas of the dairy and beef industries.
The program features three internship tracks designed to give students direct exposure to agricultural careers.
A.I. specialist interns in Wisconsin and Michigan will work with dairy and beef cattle while gaining experience in reproductive management, heat detection, artificial insemination, herd consulting, and related technologies.
At Antelbio in Lansing, Michigan, research and development interns will participate in research projects focused on diagnostic technology, animal health, and improved herd-management practices.
Milk-sample technician interns based in Kaukauna, Wisconsin, or Grand Ledge, Michigan, will work in milk-analysis laboratories, examining samples and helping provide producers with important herd-health and production information.
"CentralStar internships provide students with real-world experience, industry connections, and the opportunity to make meaningful contributions to agriculture," said CentralStar Recruiting and Hiring Manager Corinn Harmeyer.
"Interns work alongside experienced professionals and gain skills that help prepare them for successful careers in the agricultural industry," Harmeyer added.
The paid positions are open to students pursuing animal science, dairy or beef production, genetics, reproduction, agricultural research, laboratory science, and related fields. Applications are being accepted through October 31, 2026.
