State All Milk Price Averaged $20.50 During October

The Wisconsin all milk price for October was $20.50 per hundredweight. According to the USDA's Agricultural Prices report, this was 60-cents higher than last month's price and $2.70 more than October 2018. It's also the first time the Wisconsin price has exceeded $20.00 since December 2014.
The U.S. all milk price for October was $19.90 per cwt.--60-cents lower than Wisconsin's price, but 60-cents greater than last month's U.S. price. All of the 24 major milk producing states had a higher price when compared with September.
Meanwhile, the Chicago Mercantile Exchange 40-pound block cheese price closed at $1.96 per pound on November 27, while barrels were $2.24 per pound. The CME butter price was $1.99 per pound.
For the week ending November 23, the Agricultural Marketing Service U.S. weekly 40-pound block cheese price averaged $2.10 per pound, and 500 pound barrels adjusted to 38 percent moisture averaged $2.30 per pound. The U.S. butter price was $2.08
