Midwest Hop Growers to Hold Annual Conference in Eau Claire
Wisconsin Ag Connection - 01/27/2016
Grow More Hops, LLC announced it will be hosting its 2nd Annual Midwest Hop Growers Conference & Trade Show next month in Eau Claire. The event takes place February 20-21 at the Sleep Inn & Suites, where growers from Wisconsin, Minnesota and
North Dakota are expected to attend.
Seminars will focus on the business side of starting and running a small farm and will be presented by representatives from the USDA and Farm Credit System.
And the trade show will offers hop growers an opportunity to meet vendors who specialize in supplying the needs of producers.
"Craft beer is becoming much more popular throughout the Midwest. As a result, the demand for locally grown ingredients like hops has never been stronger," said Lee Jennings of Grow More Hops, LLC. "Craft beer consumers want to support locally grown
hops but the production of hops is challenging for many reasons. This conference and other Grow More Hops, LLC seminars offer business and agronomic education to both potential and current hops growers."
More information or to register for the conference, call 608-212-3191.
